Open Arms Donation Page

Thank you for considering Open Arms when making your decision to give to a charitable organization. We appreciate your willingness to support those in need. You can rest assured that your donation today will help families who are experiencing a medical crisis right now. The goal of Open Arms is to provide temporary housing to patients and their families when they find they must travel for medical treatments. In order to provide a family with a home away from home it costs the Open Arms Foundation approximately $1,200 a month. That’s nearly $600,000 to support all 41 Open Arms homes for a year. This is why we need your help. Your donation will go to provide not only a fully furnished apartment home for the family, but local telephone service so they can talk with their doctors, internet service so that they can keep up with their friends and family back home as well as all utilities. We try to make our families as comfortable as possible during a very difficult time. 100% of your donation will go straight to making this home away from away available for a family in need. No salaries are paid by Open Arms. It’s 100% run by MAA Volunteers. Open Arms is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity. Thank you for your kindness and donation to those in need.

Here’s what one of our families had to say about their stay in an Open Arms home:

Open Arms“The purpose of this correspondence is to express our sincere gratitude for your generosity for the Open Arms apartment that you so graciously provide to people in medical crisis. Our family benefitted from the Open Arms apartment while our daughter was waiting for a heart transplant. Somehow “thank you” just doesn’t seem to be enough to express our gratitude. One of the last things we needed to worry about after hearing our daughter needed a heart transplant was the need for short term housing. When we were told that we had a place to stay, rent-free, for the duration of her time in the hospital, well, needless to say, it was simply a burden lifted off of our shoulders. By allowing the use of the apartment you are truly meeting the needs of people that are hurting and struggling during a difficult time. So once again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. It was greatly appreciated. Just so you know, our daughter is doing great. She was able to get her heart transplant and return home just in time for Christmas. Thank you for all that you do to help families that are truly in medical crisis, it really does mean a lot.” – Smith Family
